The goal was to take cutting edge sleep science and deliver it through a wearable experience that feels as familiar as your favorite pillow.

Designing an Icon
Somnee 2.0 is the most advanced sleep science wearable to date. It blends EEG precision with a soft, distinct geometry that stands on its own in a category crowded by generic fabric and anonymous shells.

The character of the form is intentional. Calm, warm, and recognizable. Designing a soft, non-medical form that still meets the demands of precision electronics, durability, and scalable manufacturing required extensive iteration across materials, construction methods, and tolerances. This is sleep technology designed to be lived with, not tolerated.

Shaped by Science and Comfort
Designing soft goods that carry serious technology is a known challenge. Products often collapse into shapelessness or fail when comfort and craft collide with electronics. Somnee 2.0 avoids these traps by combining a crisp undulating structure with a textile system that supports both long wear and manufacturable repeatability. Every curve and surface was shaped by how it feels on the head before and during sleep.

The most meaningful aspect of Somnee is its invisible intelligence. The technology runs in the background while the product disappears into your nightly rhythm while the design hides complexity inside a simple, approachable form that guides users through a calm pre-sleep routine.

Using a touchscreen and expressive eyes, customers interact with Serve. If they need human assistance, they can press the call button to interact with a remote pilot.

The most advanced set of sensors including Velodyne Lidar and uses NVIIDA XAVIER processor.

The 360 degree light ring on top, communicating movement, is visible from any direction for both pedestrians and drivers.

Part of the Neighborhood
A variety of “skins” — made of vinyl wrap — express Serve’s personality and uniqueness. Skins could be swapped easily for different locales to help weave Serve into the neighborhood in a culturally relevant way.

Somnee 2.0 was designed as a full experience from the start. Unboxing sets the tone with clarity and warmth. Daily use centers on ease of handling, simple adjustments, and a soft fit that supports long term habit building.

Travel use demanded flexibility, packability, and a consistent comfort standard no matter the setting. Somnee 2.0 treats sleep technology as a lifestyle product rather than a clinical device.
